Our Story
Pueo Crown Farms is a family-run farm dedicated to growing flowers for lei makers, restoring Native Hawaiian plants, producing food for our community and sharing agricultural knowledge through workshops and farm experiences.
Pueo Crown Farms began with a simple dream: to care for the ‘āina while creating opportunities for community connection through flowers, food and education.
Pueo Crown Farms was named with intention. If you search the significance of the Pueo and Crown Flower in Hawai’i, you will quickly learn they represent protection, guidance, wisdom, honor and respect. The pueo is often seen as a guardian, a quiet watcher and guide. The crown flower (pua kalaunu) carries royal symbolism, cultural reverence, and a deep connection to roots, echoing the legacy of Hawai’i’s crown lands and the kuleana or responsibility to care for what we steward. These meanings reflect our values: to honor mālama ‘āina, to grow with care and purpose, and to be guided by the land and rooted in respect. That is the heart behind the farm.
